Wax moth, tincture, recipe

Wax moth
Wax moth
Greetings, dear readers! Friends moved to Germany, but periodically call up with them and communicate on different topics.

Then the conversation came about the old great-grandmother’s recommendations, they had a medicine man.

She brewed some larvae from the pains in her heart, and they wanted to know about them from me.

It was, of course, about a wax moth. What is wax moth, tincture, cooking recipe, you can find out right here, and you don’t need to call anywhere.

Alcohol recipe

The most common recipe for making wax moth larvae is alcohol tincture. It is used not only because of the simplicity of preparation, but also the shelf life of the finished product. The only drawback is the length of time the mixture is cooked, although there is almost nothing to do.

Ingredients

  • wax moth larvae (only large individuals are taken, a trifle does not fit) - a full hundred-gram glass;
  • pure alcohol (the fortress doesn’t matter, even vodka will work for the worst, but without additives) - 40-50 milliliters;

Recommendations and preparation

  • It is necessary to clarify that for a high concentration of infusion, you just need to fill the bee pests with ethanol. This should be done in such a way that no individual protrudes above the surface of the liquid.
  • The jar for medicine is selected exclusively glass, preferably from a dark material. Organic glass in this case is in no way suitable, only ordinary glass will do.
  • A container of ingredients is placed in a place protected from the penetration of sunlight, for three weeks.

Do not forget that in order for the alcohol not to evaporate, before insisting, the dishes must be closed with a lid, or cork.

Use

The finished drug is used exclusively moderately, only a few drops per day. Their specific amount is calculated based on the exact age of the patient.

That is, if a person is twenty-five years old, then the droplets of this substance must be consumed as much.It is also necessary to clarify that before use, the infusion is diluted in liquid (milk and boiled water are great).

Mint excrement drink

The biological activity sufficient to combat viral microorganisms is possessed by the excrement of wax moth larvae grown on honeycombs.

Important!
No other product has a sufficiently effective set of elements that would contribute to the full development of insects. Immediately before becoming a chrysalis, the larva ceases to accumulate nutrient excrement.

During this period, almost all the biological activity of the insect is transmitted to its excrement. By the way, for their survival, worms are able to eat them, although they do not disdain cannibalism.

How to collect excrement

It is not difficult to collect larvae. A black honeycomb struck by a pest is placed in a single box. They are covered with a millimeter grid and a lid, but in such a way that there is air access inside. Do not forget that the temperature inside should be at least + 18 degrees, but for the best result, it should not be lowered below twenty-five.

Attention!
After a couple of months at the bottom of the container you can find black friable masses, with the smell of wax and honey. In addition to them, the bodies of dead butterflies and the remains of cocoons will be visible.

During all this time, insects will pass excrement several times through themselves, because of which their biological value grows significantly, which is confirmed by numerous experiments. According to them, there are ten times more active substances in alcohol extracts than in a similar extract of fireworm larvae.

Cooking

Tinctures from the excrement of current insects are made using the same technology as described above. However, exposure takes about a week and a half.

Firepower value

A bee parasite, known as a wax moth (also called a moth), is one of the main pests of an apiary. Butterflies themselves do not cause actual harm, but their larvae are a serious problem.

In just a month of their life, they eat enough wax to harm hundreds of cells with beef, honey and even new brood. Indeed, when they are eaten, the insect does not at all sort out what it absorbs.

The thing is that the larvae of the moths produce a special substance that breaks down and dissolves the wax - cerrase. It is for this extract that they “hunt” when creating infusions and extracts of moths, because no other remedy can cope with this so effectively.

Well-known scientists in the field of medicine have long made the discovery that in its composition, the membrane of viral bacteria, including Koch's bacillus. These data and riveted the attention of many doctors to the larvae of the fire. Although historical information about the usefulness of these insects dates back to ancient times.

Reviews

Several hundred years of world practice testify to the great effectiveness of treatment with extracts based on wax moth. This data is confirmed by multiple reviews left by healed patients who could not be helped by expensive pharmacological preparations.

And in the case of tuberculosis, not a single bee product does better. It is also worth paying attention to the reviews of people who first tried on themselves the action of extracts of larvae.

Wax moth - preparation of tincture

Wax moth - preparation of tincture
Wax moth - preparation of tincture
The trust of those people to whom we sell wax moth tinctures / extracts is very important for us.

Therefore, we decided to describe in detail and even film the process of preparing these preparations on video so that you do not doubt that you order and get a quality product that can really strengthen your health.

Larvae of the large wax moth are grown in special wooden boxes (heat cabinets), in which constant humidity and optimal temperature for development (27 ° -35 ° C) are maintained.We do not grow wax moth in plastic.

Based on our experience, no matter how perfect the ventilation, condensation and mold appear in plastic containers at a certain stage. In addition, wax moth larvae when grown in plastic containers gradually begin to gnaw through plastic. This is clearly visible to the naked eye (and is confirmed by many evidence of beekeepers on the Internet).

We fully admit that the digestive apparatus of wax moth larvae can even digest plastic, but this plastic will get into the tincture! If we take into account that the wax, which is inert by nature, after processing to the larvae and wax moth, begins to be absorbed by our body, then what happens to plastic compounds that are toxic to humans can only be guessed at.

Advice!
We advise you to be more vigilant with manufacturers whose wax moth is grown in plastic containers. It is very convenient and economical, but can be dangerous to your health.

We (over time) have come to the option of breeding wax moths in close to natural conditions - in wooden boxes like hives, which we fill with black honeycombs (black sushi) cut from frames from hives.

In such conditions, with constant heating in the winter time to 35 ° C, wax moth develops all year round, condensation and mold do not form on the walls of the boxes, additional water is not required for growing the moth.

As food for larvae, we use only black honeycombs (which have been used by bees for several years and are covered with propolis) with some honey and beef, as well as small amounts of zabrus (cut honeycomb caps for printing frames with honey) and native propolis.

Only such nutrition provides the rapid and full development of a large wax moth, as well as the development of the necessary enzymes, which are responsible for the therapeutic effect of tinctures.

The lack of one of the components or the use of artificial feed leads to the fact that the larvae develop poorly, grow inferior, and preparations prepared on the basis of such larvae (according to scientific studies) do not have a therapeutic effect.

Wax moth larvae are caught and sorted by hand. Larvae ready for pupation are not used in extracts, as they no longer have the necessary properties. The fact is that the larva before pupation completely empties its intestines and ceases to feed. Namely, its digestive enzymes and its metabolic products provide the therapeutic effect of tinctures.

Important!
Larvae of the wax moth can be large, but quite suitable for use (this can be seen in the lumen by the fullness of the intestine). At the same time, smaller larvae can have a completely empty intestine and can be found in cocoons (which irrefutably indicates the onset of pupation).

Therefore, we consider it inappropriate to determine the usefulness of wax moth larvae only by their length. Moreover, the larva, having been in a humid environment (a mixture of alcohol with water), is saturated with moisture and visually (according to our observations) increases in size up to 1.5 - 2 times.

Freshly collected wax moth larvae are immediately immersed in 40% alcohol and infused in a cool dark place for 14-20 days. Then the tincture is filtered and poured into a glass container.

At the request of some customers (especially with remote sales to other regions), we can leave part of the larvae in the extract for the confidence of consumers that the product is not a fake. In the case of tincture of waste products of wax moth, it is possible to attach a small amount of dry matter (ПЖВМ) to the goods being forwarded.

Life products of a large wax moth (ПЖВМ) are no less valuable filler of the extract than the larvae themselves.ПЖВМ-based tincture has more pronounced tonic, antiviral and antimicrobial properties. Read more about the difference in tinctures of PZHVM and wax moth larvae.

PZHVM gather when all food in ovens is eaten and digested several times. Waste products of wax moth are activated components of wax, propolis, bee bread, honey and other beekeeping products.

They are dark brown in color, which is why the tincture of PZHVM is darker compared to the tincture of wax moth larvae, the color of which is closer to honey. The taste and smell of waste products of wax moth is very pleasant, honey-propolis, nothing reminiscent of excrement :).

Otherwise, the process of preparing tincture ПЖВМ is similar to the tincture of larvae.

Ognevka or wax moth is a unique moth, which contains a huge amount of nutrients. Consequently, in preparations prepared on the basis of the larvae of this moth, they are no less.

Attention!
The peculiarity of the larvae from which the medicine is prepared is that during their short life (approximately 30 days) of life, they feed exclusively on the vital products of bees: honey, bee bread and, of course, wax.

Useful microelements that are contained in these insects are transferred to the composition of medicines, as a result of which the use of wax moth infusion becomes extremely useful for the human body.

What is the use of wax moth?

The effectiveness of this tool is due to its composition. It contains the enzyme cerrase, useful for the human body, which has a detrimental effect on all pathogenic cells, destroying their membrane. Due to the presence of this enzyme, the medicine based on the moth can cure tuberculosis.

Recently, tuberculin mycobacteria have greatly mutated and become resistant to modern pharmacological drugs, which is why the TB dispensaries are crowded with sick people. Thanks to cerrase, preparations from the firebox dissolve the shell of tuberculin bacteria, as a result of which they become “weak” and cells of the immune system can easily cope with them.

In addition to cerrase, it contains essential amino acids, in particular valine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, histidine - it is their presence that makes treatment with wax moth effective, the use of this drug prevents the formation of triglycerides and lipoproteins in the blood, therefore it prevents the development of varicose veins, thrombophlebitis and heart disease.

It also gives a good effect in the treatment of depressive conditions and liver diseases. The composition of the preparations from the firebox also includes many fatty acids (linoleic, oleic, stearic, palmitic), trace elements (potassium, zinc, selenium, molybdenum) and monosaccharides (sucrose, fructose, glucose), and all these substances have a positive effect on the body generally.

Indications for use tinctures of wax moth

Before talking about how to apply wax moth, it must be said that it is contraindicated for people allergic to beekeeping products. Particular attention should be paid to this, since in the "best case" a person may develop a rash, and in the worst case, it can provoke the development of anaphylactic shock.

For everyone else, this is the most safe drug, as evidenced by the fact that it is allowed to give it even to small children. Indications for use of this tool will be as follows:

  • tuberculosis;
  • heart disease - tincture has a cardiotonic effect, helps prevent the development of myocardial infarction;
  • gynecology - with the help of preparations of a mumps infertility can be cured, the symptoms of toxicosis and menopause can be alleviated;
  • andrology - prolonged use of the drug helps to activate sperm activity, increase sex drive and reduce symptoms of prostatitis;
  • reduction of cough, restoration of the immune system and drainage function of the lungs - an extract of a wax moth exerts such an effect, the use of this agent is permissible even in the treatment of bronchitis in children;
  • surgery - the mumps contains lysine in its composition, so that all drugs based on it have a powerful lysing effect (prevent the formation of scars and scars), which allows them to be used during the recovery period after operations;
  • gerontology - reviews of doctors about wax moth prove that the drug protects the human body from premature aging (it prevents the development of diseases of the heart, lungs, stomach and so on), protects the body from atypical (cancer) cells.

How to take wax moth tincture correctly?

Particular attention should be paid to how to properly take wax moth, because it is still a medicine (albeit a folk one), and the medicine must be taken in accordance with the regimen.

As a rule, all infusions and extracts based on this moth are taken orally about 30 minutes before meals, the number of doses depends on what the person wants to cure (in the treatment of diseases, the dose will be much larger than with prevention).

Advice!
The minimum course of treatment is three full months. The dose of the drug is calculated based on the weight of the person who will take it, all the information on this subject contains instructions for the use of wax moths.

It is attached to each bottle with this tool (at least, responsible manufacturers, such as the Cheerful Hornet apiary, do just that) so that the patient can always have it at hand. The instructions describe all the diseases that can be cured with mumps, as well as the dose and recommended duration of administration.

Anti-tuberculosis, stimulating, restoring (after illness), adaptogenic, anti-inflammatory - these are the main effects that wax moth has, the instructions for the drug were based on its medicinal properties and biological activity. It was compiled by doctors who found that:

  • for the treatment of tuberculosis, the drug is taken 2 times a day, based on: 40 drops in the morning (in severe cases, the dose may be increased to 45 drops, but it needs to be increased gradually) and 40 drops in the evening in combination with propolis tincture 20% half an hour before meals;
  • 30 drops 2 times a day for a month will be enough for the treatment of heart diseases;
  • for recovery after a heart attack or stroke, tincture of wax moth according to the standard scheme, alternating it with tincture of bee subpestilence;
  • to withdraw a person from depression, it will be enough to take 20 drops 2 times a day for a month;
  • during an exacerbation of respiratory infections, it is recommended to take 30 drops in the morning, before leaving the house and 30 drops in the evening half an hour before meals. for children, the reception of wax moth tincture is carried out according to the scheme - 1 drop for 1 year of life is used 2 times a day for a month.

A complete and more detailed application of wax moth for various diseases is attached to the bottle at the time of purchase MANDATORY!

Both large and small wax moths provide larvae that can be used to prepare a wax moth extract. The difference between them is only in the small size of the larvae. The moths of smaller larvae, respectively, are not so large, but their effectiveness does not decrease at all.

First of all, it is worth considering that this is a very thin material in biological terms. In no case should wax larvae of the wax moth be heated. Otherwise, they will lose a number of their beneficial properties. It is better to use alcohol tincture.

In order to prepare a wax moth extract, only young larvae of the moth need to be used. Those that are in the stage preceding pupation have low bioactivity. How does the preparation of tincture of wax moth occur?

Important!
To start, the body of the insect larvae is placed in a container with dark glass and filled with alcohol. The ratio should be 1: 5. All insist 7-10 days, and then stored in a dark room or inaccessible to sunlight.

It is important to know that the wax moth extract has a shelf life of about 3 years. It is not toxic and effective. In addition, using other pharmacological preparations at the same time, one can not be afraid of negative consequences.

Pay attention, as soon as the preparation of the tincture of wax moth has finished, it must be taken according to the following recipe. For treatment: two to three times a day. Undergoing prophylaxis: once a day. In general, 15-20 drops from one to three times a day before meals. Children's dosage - one drop of tincture for one year of a child's life.

Tincture of wax moth larvae

Today it is already known that the moth, known as a large wax moth, parasitizing in a bee family, can easily digest wax. Once in the hive, this moth can destroy the entire bee family.

Many beekeeping farmers are actively trying to resist this parasite, but few have thought about its beneficial properties. It is worth noting that about 400 years ago, wax moth was used to cure tuberculosis, and it was also used to delay the aging process.

Useful properties of the extract

The infusion increases motor activity, vitality, has a cardiotropic effect. The tincture of the mumps reduces myocardial ischemia, increases the content of pyruvate and normalizes blood pressure and blood coagulation.

Also, with the help of a mumps, you can normalize the composition of your blood (white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets). Apply tincture of a mumps due to diseases of the cardiovascular system: hypertension, vegetovascular dystonia, coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis of the brain and blood vessels of the heart, etc.

Complex application of infusion

The tincture of the ognevka is capable of treating the broncho-pulmonary system in a complex: chronic lung diseases, pneumonia, bronchial asthma and respiratory allergy. Application is also practiced in asteneurotic conditions and radiation damage.

The use of the drug from the fire helps prevent giardiasis. With malignant and benign tumors of the breast or uterus, lung or stomach, prostatitis, with prostatic hyperplasia.

The infusion is used in order to reduce sexual activity, to prevent aging and with an enlargement of the thyroid gland. Assign with infertility or weakened sexual activity, with pathological pregnancy.

Advice!
Tincture of wax moth is also used in pediatrics, in the treatment of chronic pulmonary diseases, if the usual treatment does not give positive results. After a few days, the children can observe the absence of cough and fever, as well as the normalization of peripheral blood, when using the infusion for 4-6 weeks.

It is also often used for neurosis, hysteria, anemia, any growth disorders, and indeed the general development as a whole.In cardiology, one can meet with ischemic heart disease, congenital heart defects, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, hypertension, cardioneurosis myocarditis and others.

Flavor for the stomach

To make a tincture of wax moth for the gastrointestinal tract, you will need an alcohol tincture of propolis 1:10 - 100 ml, honey - 800 grams and a moth extract - 20 ml. After one course of taking this medicine, which lasts 3-4 months, you can observe a positive effect in the treatment of tuberculosis.

It is also worth noting that this extract also activates its increased effectiveness in extrapulmonary tuberculosis diseases: joints and bones, kidneys, lymph nodes, skin, intestines and other organs in the human body.

When using this extract, the dosage must be strictly observed. The use of antibiotics with alcohol extracts and tinctures is strictly prohibited.

Diseases of the cardiovascular system

Well-known homeopathist and cardiologist Dr. Mukhin for 30 years studied the healing properties of extracts (extracts) of anemia. These laboratory studies have shown that the main therapeutic components of tinctures are cardiotropic and cardioprotective.

Therefore, it is good to use tincture of wax moth larvae with myocarditis of various etiologies, myocardial infarction, hypertension, angina pectoris, coronary heart disease, cardiosclerosis, cardiac arrhythmias, atherosclerosis. Also, with vegetative-vascular dystonia, the extract stops the attacks of angina pectoris, improves shortness of breath, and increases the electrocardiogram.

When taking the drug, the consequences of a recent heart attack decrease, after which the attacks of angina and other symptoms of heart failure completely disappear.

Attention!
If you regularly conduct a three-month course of treatment with this medicine for a year, this effectively prevents the cicatricial degeneration of the myocardium, and eventually leads to the complete disappearance of arrhythmia.

A cure is effective with a sustained result that helps lower blood pressure. Based on the intake of tincture of firepicks, it becomes possible to reduce, and after a while, completely stop taking medications.

How to make tincture of wax moth

There is a recipe in order to prepare a large wax moth extract. It is necessary to collect 5 grams of fireworm larvae. The main requirement for the muzzle is that they are well developed, but have no signs of pupation. Collected insects must be filled with a 70 percent solution of ethyl alcohol weighing 50 grams.

Then you should insist all 5-8 days and the resulting extract to use 20 drops in water a couple of times a day. If we are talking about children, then they need to take this medicine depending on their age, the number of years should correspond to the number of drops.

This healing product, prepared at home according to technology that is a proven long-standing practice, is no different from the drug, which was produced in special institutions by production methods.

Contraindications

Contraindication to the use of extracts of a mumps in the first place is individual intolerance. Since some people often have an allergic reaction to any beekeeping products.

Advice!
If an allergic reaction is detected, the use of the drug will need to be completely stopped. Therefore, the drug should be taken, be sure to first consult with your doctor.

And if we take tinctures, it is necessary to start with two or three drops a day the next day, increase the dose by two drops, gradually bringing the dose to the recommended one. Also, carefully try to monitor the reaction of your body.

It is categorically contraindicated, the extract is prepared with alcohol for the following diseases: acute hepatitis, chronic acute pancreatitis, including exacerbation of peptic ulcer. Since in the presence of the aforementioned ailments, alcohol, without exception, is contraindicated even in drops.

Tincture of wax moth

The length of the adult larva is 18–38 mm. Fore wings brownish-grayish with brownish-yellow hind margin and dark spots. The hind wings of a wax moth are lighter than the front. Caterpillars prefer to live in the hives of honey bees, where they feed on their wax.

Adult butterflies no longer eat, so their mouth organs and digestive organs are underdeveloped. Therefore, they debug eggs that have a whitish color and size of 0.35 by 0.5 mm, develop 5-8 days.

A larva 1 mm long with a yellowish head and 8 legs emerges from them. Later, they grow into caterpillars up to 18 mm long with a brownish head. After 25-30 days, the caterpillars undergo a pupation cycle, for which a crack or crevice is found, and sometimes a hole is gnawed out.

Use of wax moth to fight tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is a common infectious disease in the world that can be treated with many drugs, but the most effective is wax moth. It has a unique enzyme - cerrase.

The enzyme cerrase, with the help of which a wax moth larva digests wax (lipopolysaccharide component), effectively dissolves the fat-wax component of the tuberculosis microbacteria membrane and deprives it of its natural defense.

Important!
This allows you to use tincture of wax moth to fight tuberculosis and many other diseases (read below). As early as the 17th century, an extract from wax moth caterpillars was used to treat patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases.

The main problem in the treatment of tuberculosis is the tightly protected shell of the tuberculosis bacillus. It is almost impossible to destroy with pharmaceutical drugs. But it is thanks to the wax moth enzyme, which is able to dissolve the wax itself, that destroys this tightly protected shell of the tubercle bacillus.

Preparation of wax moth tincture

In order to make this miraculous tincture, you need to take wax moth larvae, throw them into a jar where there is medical alcohol (20: 100 ml). You need to insist 2 weeks, and occasionally shake. After this, the tincture is ready for use.

The size of the larvae is up to 1.5 cm. There should be a black dot in it. It is she who has the enzyme cerrase. The best proportion for tincture is 20 ml. larvae and 80 ml of alcohol 80%. This is the only insect that can dissolve wax into amino acids in life using the enzyme cerrase.

This is why wax moth is so effective in fighting tuberculosis. Because the tincture of wax moth already has the enzyme cerrase, which dissolves the shell of the tuberculosis shelf and it becomes already vulnerable to pharmaceutical preparations that destroy it, or it dies itself.

Already there is an experience of tuberculosis monotherapy with tincture of wax moth.

Recommendations by Apitherapy Doctors

Each family should have a small bottle of wax moth tincture, because it has a very strong antiviral effect.And therefore, even during the period of flu, when many people get sick, if you feel that you are getting sick, take 1 drop per 1 kg. its mass.

Attention!
For example, if your weight is 70 kg., So 70 drops - 3 times a day. And you will not get 100% flu. This has been tested on many people. Drops need to be parted with water - 1 to 8. That is, for example: 70 drops of tincture for 560 drops of water.

You do not need to drip and count the drops: 1 ml. - this is 60 drops! Therefore, you can take a syringe to take 1 ml. and it will be 60 drops. Duration of admission: from 1 to 3 months. Therefore, 100 ml. for 1 person, 1 ml. It will be about 3 months.

Wax moth is the only unique drug for getting out of a stroke, after a heart attack, it improves blood circulation.

Such a medicine is prepared very simply: brew a tablespoon of raw materials with a glass of boiling water. Boil in a water bath for five to ten minutes. Strained medicine take a tablespoon three to four times a day.

Wax moth tincture is an amazing remedy that is often used to treat pulmonary tuberculosis and other serious diseases. Other drugs can also be used to treat tuberculosis, including formulations based on medicinal plants and improvised drugs.

"Drops of the Danish King" or how I raised moles at home

How I raised moles at home
How I raised moles at home
Good day! In touch Nikolay Tatarenkov.

Today, I hope, there will be an interesting article, both for beekeepers and just for people who care about their health.

The note will focus on the tincture of wax moth, on its preparation, and more precisely on how to grow this biggest bee fire at home.

There will be some of my videos in which I showed my practical experience of growing larvae in a city apartment, so get ready not only to read, but also to watch the video. Here we go?

We will not talk about the benefits of tincture of a large wax moth (BVM), since this is worthy of a separate article. I will say only one thing: I drink and I advise you. It doesn’t sound quite beautiful, but fact is fact))

Attention!
So, I learned a long time ago about the benefits of beeswax tinctures. The first time we cooked it was three years ago. It was a typical day in the apiary when we looked at bee colonies and expanded nests with land and wax. In the storage facility, the land was partially affected by moths.

Pellet wax wax cannot be used to make tinctures. We decided to use it. Immediately they filled in the collected larvae with vodka in a ratio of 20/80 and set to wait in the wings.

The partner tested this miracle on himself and, after several weeks of daily use, called the tincture Drops of the Danish king, said that there was no need to stop there. So we decided to plant a wax moth for the preparation of tinctures.

They decided to decide, but they didn’t know how to breed it. For these purposes, an old hive and a dozen frames of the old land, which was rejected, were allocated. The hive was placed in a corner of the courtyard under a canopy, scored with frames and began to wait. A certain amount of time passed and the first mole appeared. Hooray!

The first year of our prayer all went more or less. But for the next two years, roving swarms flew into the hive that we prepared to breed the wax moth (we called it the mole). No, this is also nice, of course ... but ... the result is a bit different than what was expected. So you had to think something. We thought, thought, and finally came up.

Growing a large wax moth and preparing tincture

For feeding, food is only needed for larvae. Adults - butterflies, do not eat food at all. They live due to accumulated nutrients at the larval stage.
Full-grown adult sexually mature individuals (adults) are only butterflies. They mate, lay eggs.

Wax moth is a resident of the bee hive, therefore, for the optimal development speed of the larva, it is desirable to maintain a temperature that is close to the temperature in the bee nest. The lower the temperature, the slower the development and vice versa. But above 35-36 degrees, the temperature should not be increased.

  • Moth does not like light. For growing moths, it is best to keep it dark.
  • Moth does not like all kinds of air movements (drafts especially).
  • Wax moth does not tolerate pungent odors.
  • At subzero temperatures, the development of the moth stops and it dies.
  • Firefly can grow and develop by eating various feeds (from paper to polystyrene), but the benefit for humans will be only from larvae grown on natural feed.
  • Moth prefers dark sushi.

Although the moth is called wax, it feeds not only on wax in the bee’s nest, but also on the cocoons left in the bee cells, bee bread and honey. Thus, in the diet should be present pollen / pollen, honey.

If you use only pure sushi as feed, and then add the pollen or pollen, then a sharp surge in development will be recorded. The first days of the larvae actively feed on bee bread. After all, protein feed.

Advice!
The larvae that have just hatched from the eggs are very small (pass through the hole punctured with a regular sewing needle) and actively move. To breathe a moth of air, you do not need much, but you need to take care of ventilation.

To prepare the tincture, it is necessary to select larvae without signs of pupation, up to two centimeters in size - in them the largest number of substances useful to humans.

Options for growing a large wax moth

You can grow wax moth both directly in the apiary and at home. To grow the fire in the apiary, you can use the hive (as I wrote above) with the standard setting of the frames close to each other. Or some box, old ramonos, etc.

This container should be put in a suitable place so that there are no sudden changes in temperature, drafts, etc. When using this option, you should also take care that the wax moth from your molehive / box does not fly apart (creep) through the apiary, bee colonies, and storehouses and in neighboring apiaries, because moths can migrate at decent distances.

Sushi is the beekeeper’s gold reserve! This must always be remembered. We came to growing wax moths in glass jars at home. There are at least two advantages of this method:

Moth can be grown in almost any volume, from one can to the amount that can accommodate the room, organizing shelves for example. You can do this all year round. In an apiary, on a street or in an unheated room in our climate, the period is limited to May-September.

Moth bookmark

In order for us to start growing moths, we need to prepare sushi and the moth itself, at least in small quantities. For most beekeepers this should not be a problem. Often, opening the hive cover and lifting the pillow, we see how one, or even several butterflies, fly past us from under it. Here we need to try to find some butterflies or several worms (larvae).

Important!
From the very beginning of the day in the apiary, prepare a jar with a lid. The lid should have small holes. If larvae or butterflies come across during family examinations, then they must be placed in a jar for the purpose of further settling in jars or other containers with land.

I must say right away that this jar should be protected from the sun and it is advisable to throw a little wax, sushi into it so that the larvae hide there and do not try to crawl out. Bookmark sushi is better to take dark, and even better dark with a small amount of beef.

It needs to be broken into small pieces and randomly put into jars. After that, add to the banks our livestock, which we honestly obtained during a working day in the apiary. In order for our moth to develop as expected, we need to provide the conditions about which I wrote above (temperature, lighting, etc.). It turns out that glass jars in their pure form are not quite suitable for us.

To ensure all conditions, I made a kind of drawer with a lid, of course from expanded polystyrene)) I will not give dimensions, drawings and photographs here (if necessary, write). PPS took 30 mm. The box was made in such a way that it became four 3-liter cans.

Expanded polystyrene has the main quality - very warm. Wax moth, actively developing, raises the temperature in the bank. If you touch the jar with your hands some time after the larvae exit the eggs, then it will be noticeably warmer. Here is a box of PPP and will not let this heat go away. We get something like a thermos. Everything is simple, affordable and cheap!

Attention!
Initially, I made punctures with a sewing needle in plastic covers for ventilation, and tied an additional cloth on top so that the newly hatched larvae would not run away (yes, yes, there was such a thing, be careful!), But then I refused it and began to use just a few times a folded rag , since these holes from the needle in the active phase of development were few.

The jars inside were covered with vapor (condensate) and the humidity increased to such an extent that most of the larvae simply died. Ventilation is necessary, but you need to count so that the larvae do not run away! By the way, the larvae gnaw through the tissue very well. So I have not yet found the ideal option. Maybe a metal mesh with some micro-cells ?! I do not know.

Selection of larvae and preparation of BVM tincture

In artificial conditions, wax moth develops somewhat more slowly than in natural conditions (at least for me, it seems to me that way). After a couple of weeks, the first small worms should appear.

Well, the full cycle took me about seven weeks. From the first time, the larvae from each jar did not turn out at all. But each time the process accelerated. I think the question is that each time in the banks there were more and more eggs. Therefore, the moth that is not eaten by the moth (already infected with eggs) must be put back into the jars, after selecting suitable larvae.

I prepared tincture of wax moth in different ways. I made proportions from 15% to 30%. Stopped at 20%. The proportions are determined by weight. I put the can on the electronic scales, zero the scales, fill up the mole, fix the result. Then, based on this result, I add 40% alcohol. I would insist on 70%, but where can I get it ...

Tincture of waste products of a large wax moth

Recently, tincture on the vital products of a large wax moth (ПЖБВМ) is gaining popularity. The point is that PZHBVM, after processing wax with a larva, are saturated with useful substances. A large wax moth does not disdain its waste products if there is a shortage of other food and eats them again and again.

Advice!
Thus, the pancreas passing through the body of the larva is repeatedly saturated with these very useful substances. They write that tincture ПЖБВМ has even greater benefits for a person than tincture БВМ. Plus, getting it is much easier - no worms need to be selected manually (very painstakingly).

I'll be honest. I did this tincture and costs two more than a liter. Taste and smell are much sharper than the common version (BVM) and the color is not ice at all - like oil. I did not like. However, medications are rarely delicious, we do not consider honey))

  1. Well, for prevention, I would not drink this, if it squeezes hard. And imagine how many living creatures there are that can also be useful.

  2. Who is Dr. Mukhin? The name of this doctor is mentioned on the sites solely in connection with wax moth and advertising tinctures from it. Not a single reference to any serious study.
    I myself used a tincture of wax moth dropwise for three months, as indicated in the instructions.
    No sense. heart problems both remained and remained, depression naturally also did not disappear anywhere. Bullshit all this and money down the drain.
