  2. The ability to choose and purchase the right amount of drug depending on the weight of the animal.
  3. The three components of the drug have a synergistic effect, which at a low concentration gives the highest result.

Composition and pharmacological properties

BARS® drops against fleas and ticks for dogs as active substances contain fipronil - 50 mg / ml, diflubenzuron - 1 mg / ml and dicarboximide (MGK-264) - 5 mg / ml and excipients

The mechanism of action that is part of the drug, fipronil, is to block GABA-dependent ectoparasite receptors, impaired transmission of nerve impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of ectoparasites.

Diflubenzuron, inhibiting chitin synthesis in parasites, disrupts the process of molting, oviposition and hatchability of larvae from eggs, which leads to the termination of replenishment of the population.

Dicarboximide is a synergist and is used with insecticides to increase their activity. Dicarboximide stops microsomal detoxification of the insecticide, increasing its toxicity to the parasite.

After a cutaneous application of the drug, the active substances included in its composition, not being absorbed into the systemic circulation, are evenly distributed over the surface of the body, accumulate in the sebaceous glands, protecting the animal for a long time from ectoparasites.

Advice!
Insecticide-acaricidal drops “Bars” in terms of exposure to the body are classified as moderately hazardous substances, in the recommended doses they do not have a resorptive-toxic, locally irritating and sensitizing effect; Eye contact causes irritation.

The drug is well tolerated by dogs and cats of different breeds and ages, but is toxic to rabbits, as well as fish and other aquatic organisms.

Indications for use

The remainder of the drug in a pipette is applied to the animal on the skin between the shoulder blades. In the advanced case of otodectosis complicated by otitis media, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed and the auricular use of BARS® drops against fleas and ticks is repeated after 7-10 days.

The drug must be administered in both ears, even in cases of only one ear being affected by otodectosis.

To prevent splashing of the drug (if the animal shakes its head), the head of the animal should be fixed for several minutes.

Dog Breeder Reviews

Many breeders treat their dogs with Bars forte.
Igor, Doberman breeder. For a long time, because of cheapness and distrust of domestic manufacturers, I did not use either a spray or drops.

Attention!
I was surprised when, after the appearance of an allergy to an imported expensive product, one of the dogs had to use Bars drops. The result exceeded expectations - it works quickly and is easy to apply. He transferred to Bars Fort and other dogs.

Peter, the breeder of the Giant Schnauzers. Spray Bars Forte do not use. Gum coat is difficult to process. But the drops are satisfied. I use both for treatment and for prevention. Ticks sprinkle themselves, just brush them. Fleas disappear and do not return when processing tools.

Drops Bars for cats and dogs - instructions for use

Today, the market offers a wide range of domestic products of various types under the Bars brand, they are designed to destroy various types of parasites and protect pets from them.

Among a large number of diverse products, there are drops for fighting fleas and ticks, they are in great demand and consistently confirm their high level of effectiveness.

Bars drops can be used as a means to completely get rid of existing parasites, and as a drug for taking preventive measures to minimize the likelihood of insects in pets.

Externally, the drug is a liquid with an oily structure and a specific yellow tint. It is sold in bottles with a volume of 1 or 1.4 ml., The container is equipped with a special pipette that facilitates the use of this antiparasitic agent.

This product is intended for cats and dogs, is equally safe and effective for both varieties of pets. You can buy the drug in pharmacies or specialty stores that sell pet products.

Composition

The composition of the drug allows you to attribute it to substances of the third degree of danger, that is, consider it a low-toxic agent, which, when used correctly, does not pose a threat to the life and health of animals or people. The main components responsible for high efficiency and safety are:

Important!
Permethrin is the main active ingredient that is present in drops of the old release. In addition to this drug, it is also used as an additive in many products related to household household chemicals; its harmful effect on various insects has been known for a very long time.

Despite its toxicity, permethrin has a unique property - it is a deadly threat to fleas and ticks, but at the same time it is safe for warm-blooded animals that are absolutely immune to it when used correctly.

Fipronil, a synthetic type of insecticide, has replaced permethrin in all drops from new batches. It is less toxic, but it also effectively destroys all types of insects, this component has long been used by specialists in agriculture and veterinary medicine due to its high-quality insecticaricidal effect.

Cats are more sensitive to this substance than dogs, but despite this, it is actually harmless to all types of animals. Side effects or allergic reactions occur only in rare and exceptional cases, it can not cause severe poisoning fipronil.

A number of auxiliary components that repel insects. They are various types of natural essential oils.

The effectiveness and action of the drug

The principle of action of Bars drops is the following processes that begin to occur after the animal is treated with this drug:

After rubbing the product, it is absorbed into the skin, the main accumulation occurs in the hair follicles or sebaceous glands. In this case, the drug itself does not enter the blood of the pet.

At the moment when the parasites are active and begin to bite a cat or dog, the release of active substances begins, which gradually gathers on the surface of the skin.

The toxic substance enters the body of the insect through the chitinous cover.
After poisoning with an insecticide, a malfunction in the nervous system of the parasite occurs, resulting in complete paralysis and inability to eat, which leads to the death of the pest.

There are two varieties of these drops - Bars and Bars Forte. The second type is much more expensive, but the owners of cats and dogs did not notice fundamental differences in the effectiveness of the funds and their effect on pets.

However, they noted that the use of both drugs leads to a positive result, which consists in completely getting rid of fleas and ticks without showing side effects.

Reviews

Since Bars brand products have been on the market for a long time and have repeatedly proved their high effectiveness, many people have already tried them in business, before whom the question arose of removing fleas and ticks from their pets.

Now they are ready to share their experience in using such an antiparasitic agent, some opinions about it are given below:

Nikolay: “Bars helped me well to rid my cats of subcutaneous ticks, before that I used other drugs, including more expensive ones, but there was no result.

At first I was afraid to use it, so for a start I applied a small amount to all cats and looked at the reaction, during the day there was no allergy or side effects. After that, I already completed the full-fledged processing in accordance with the instructions, my favorites transferred it quite normally. ”

Marina: “I heard a lot of negative reviews, but after the first use, Bars showed very good results. She advised him to her neighbor, her cats also normally underwent the treatment process. In total, seven cats were processed and none had an allergic reaction.

But it must be borne in mind that animals are treated with insecticides, and this is always a certain risk to get a bunch of side effects if the cat has an individual intolerance. The main thing is to isolate the animals from each other, because they can lick the poison from each other if they continue to actively contact. "

Attention!
Alexander: “I treat Spitz, Chow-chow and German Shepherd with Bars, it acts equally positively on everyone. Before that, I could not find a suitable remedy for a long time: some had an acute allergy, after applying others, they generally had to enter an antidote.

These drops were advised by a neighbor who often goes hunting with dogs, from where they bring all sorts of parasites. By the way, the price of Barca is much lower than that of the funds that I chose on my own and which in the end did not fit. Therefore, as they say, far from all the gold that glitters. "

Ivan: “At first I used other means, but they too often failed and I began to find parasites in the dog even after treatment, so I gradually switched to Bars. It is very pleasing that, unlike most other drip agents, it does not have a typical chemical smell.

For a very long time there were no complaints about this drug, but recently noticed that it has become ineffective against ticks, perhaps these parasites have adapted to the remedy, since it still exterminates the fleas qualitatively. Apparently, in the near future it will be necessary to again select a new drug that will protect against all types of parasites. ”
