How to catch a mouse in a bottle

Hello! Over the years of almost continuous pest control, I have always been able to find new and effective ways.

This applies to many things. Well, for example, I usually caught mice at the site using standard store mousetraps.

As a result of small experiments, I managed to find three more quick ways to capture. One of them turned out to be extremely simple and budget. Want to learn how to catch a mouse in a bottle? Which bottle is better to use for this task? In the article below I will describe in detail all the nuances of this method.

DIY mousetrap - make a mousetrap from a bottle

Mice cause a lot of inconvenience to many of us - like all rodents, they are active and spoil much more than they eat. How to deal with mice? Of course do-it-yourself mousetrap. It is clear that many Soviet-era wooden-wire mousetraps have been preserved from many times since the USSR, and they still work reliably.

Important!
Also, of course, you can go to the nearest hardware store and buy a Chinese mouse trap there, but as they say, you can only do it from enormous laziness or from the abundance of extra money, if after spending only 15-20 minutes you can make a quite acceptable version of the mousetrap yourself, especially considering that Chinese mousetraps are extremely unreliable.

An important plus of such a self-made mousetrap is also that it cannot harm your cat or small dog living in your apartment or frolic on the site - it catches only mice.

And in terms of humanity, it still surpasses many well-known variants of mousetraps - it doesn’t cut, doesn’t cut it into pieces and, unlike glue for mice, it does not allow them to die long and slowly.

This version of the mouse trap is also good because such a do-it-yourself mousetrap can be used both on the plot and in the garden, and in an apartment or house. In order to make it all the same ubiquitous plastic bottle will be needed.

So, there is a simpler and more affordable version of the mousetrap, which does not require laborious manufacturing. We take a 1.5-liter plastic bottle, pour oil into it, which after frying the fish remains in the pan.

If this is not the case, then take about 30-50 ml of sunflower oil, fry it in a pan, and add 1 tablespoon for smell. well-fried and mashed sunflower seeds.

This portion can be divided into 1-5 bottles, at the discretion of the summer resident. Pour a little oil into the bottles, and also use the index finger to coat the neck of the bottle with oil.

We take a bar (piece of board) or brick and put a bottle on it at an angle, so that it does not fall off, we cover it with three pieces of crushed stone or broken brick on three sides (see picture below). The smell of fried oil will attract mice.

Advice!
They, climbing into the bottle, glide along an inclined surface to the bottom. They try to get out of it, but, having smeared the paws with oil, glide to exhaustion and remain at the bottom of the bottle.

My neighbor was overcome by mice, and I gave him this advice. He did everything, as I told him, and the result did not have to wait long. A neighbor filled three bottles with oil and installed in the country in the month of February, and when he arrived a few days later, he found seven mice in bottles.

He freed the bottles from the captured mice, refilled them with oil and reinstalled. When I arrived again, I caught five more pieces. In this way, he caught 12 mice, and thanked me at the meeting for good advice. Do this too - you will not regret it.

On a different type of bait, a different number of mice comes down. Fried sunflower oil and seeds are a really good bait. But much more attracted to them is sesame oil, having a simply hypnotic effect on rodents. In addition, just a few drops of such butter are enough for a piece of bread.

How to catch a mouse in an apartment without a mousetrap?

Mice can start everywhere: both in the apartment (house mouse) and in the country (vole). Many people do not want to kill even one individual to get rid of them. Therefore, they are looking for an opportunity to resolve this issue without a mousetrap and rat poison.

Their goal is simply to catch the rodent and take it away from home, thereby making it impossible to return. In order to catch the mouse, saving her life, there are many traps and devices. These designs can be created with your own hands at home.

Plastic bottles

There are several ways to catch a mouse in an apartment with a bottle. You need to take a plastic bottle, grease it with vegetable oil from the inside and add the bait. Place the bottle at an angle of forty-five degrees from the floor.

In order for the mouse to climb into the jar, you need to put a bridge for it - a rail or a ruler. When she gets into the bottle, she will not have the opportunity to climb out due to the slippery walls. However, this method is only suitable for adult mice.

For the next method, you will need a fishing line, one end of which is tied to the neck of the bottle, the other is fixed on the table. The bottle must be put on the table so that the bottom remains in the air, before that, adding bait to it. After the mouse crawls over the food, the bottle under its weight will hang on the rope.

To catch a mouse with a plastic bottle, you can use a trap that requires a paper clip, two plastic tubes and two elastic bands. It is done as follows:

  1. In the center of the bottom, a small hole should be cut.
  2. The top should be incised so that an improvised cover is obtained.
  3. One tube must be passed through the center of the bottle, and the second through the center of the “cap”.
  4. The paper clip with the bait must be tied to the elastic and pass through the hole in the bottom, securing the other end of the elastic on the outside of the cork.
  5. Another gum should be fixed on the outside of the bottle to the tubes so that the “cap” is open.

When the mouse starts to pull the bait, the first gum will tear, which will lead to the slamming of the lid.

Box

You need to take the box, attach a short rope to its bottom and attach the bait to the other end of the rope. The box must be turned over and put with its edges on thin supports, but so that the support is not strong.

Attention!
The bait on the rope should hang in the air and not touch the floor.

When the mouse wants to reach the bait, it will have to stand on its hind legs, grab the bait and pull it down. At this point, the props will drop, and the mouse will be covered with a box.

Bucket

You will need a bucket and a plastic bottle. The bottle must be pierced with a needle through the lid and the bottom so that it can rotate freely around its axis. The ends of the needles must be fixed on a bucket.

The bottle should spin over the bucket, and bait should be put on it.The mouse, smelling, will try to get a treat and climb on the bottle. As the bottle rotates, the rodent on it will not hold and will fall into the bucket.

Another way is to put a newspaper with a slit in the form of a cross on a bucket, a bait is placed next to it. So that the mouse could climb into the bucket, you should substitute the plate, and when you try to get to the food, the rodent will fail.

Jar and flower pot

For such a capture of the mouse you need to take a half-liter glass jar. You will also need a coin. Adhesive tape is glued to the inner edge of the can. The bank needs to put coins on the edge. When the mouse enters under the jar and begins to try to unstick food from the wall, the coin will fall and the jar will cover the rodent.

For catching mice, you can use a flower pot - it is desirable that it be weighty (you can take a plastic one, but it will have to be heavier). To catch a rodent, you need a match, thread and a paper clip. A thread should be tied to a match.

Important!
At the bottom of any pot there is always a drainage hole through which this thread must be passed.

A clip with a bait on it should be tied to its other end. The match should be placed under the edge of the pot (the bait should hang at a height of 5 centimeters). Having found food, the mouse will try to get it and, pulling it, will overturn the pot onto itself.

Glue from mice

Such glue is sold in the store - usually these are special adhesive mats. They attract rodents with their smell, and when the animal sticks, they hold it tight.

The glue must be applied on a flat surface, which does not give the opportunity to catch on something. This mat should be kept out of the reach of children and pets.

Where to set a trap and how to choose a bait?

It is advisable to set traps for mice in secluded and dark corners or where waste of its vital activity has been found. You can put a trap next to food supplies - mice, if any, will definitely come there.

These animals are almost omnivorous. The bait for them can be any product. Therefore, the widespread belief that mice love only cheese is wrong.

Sausages, lard, meat, and even bread and butter can be baits. It is better to check which particular products suffered the most - this will indicate the individual preferences of the rodent that wound up in the house.

How to catch mice without a mousetrap

Mice appear in human dwellings and household plots for various reasons. Some rodents come in search of warm shelter, and some begin to dwell in the walls of houses and apartments because of food, the remains of which are in places accessible to them.

In any case, sometimes it is required to answer the question of how to catch mice without using barbaric methods. Consider the most common options.

Advice!
Many owners of living quarters strive to save the animal’s life when they are captured and simply redirect it to another habitat, thereby protecting their home from uninvited guests. Cats, of course, catch mice, but this method is unacceptable for many.

There are many methods for solving these problems; the main ones will be considered within the framework of this material. These are traditional traps that will help to catch an animal in a tank without the possibility of exiting it. After that, the rodent will have to move to another place.

Plastic bottle application

Suitable containers from Coca-Cola or from any soda, water. It is necessary to provide lubrication of the inner walls with vegetable oil, and put the bait inside - a piece of food - cheese, lard, bread, apple.

The bottle is positioned at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the floor surface. So that the animal could easily fall into the trap, it is worth laying a special bridge in the form of a board or ruler.

If ingested, the animal will be left without a chance of a return exit due to slippery walls of the bottle. This is the most common way to catch a mouse in a house without a mousetrap, and it works flawlessly.

Suspension plastic bottle trap

It is necessary to take a plastic bottle, cut off its neck so that the mouse can freely enter it, the bait is fixed at the bottom, and the bottle is placed on the edge of the table so that the bottom with the bait is a canopy. The edge of the bottle, where the neck is cut off, needs to be tied with a rope with some kind of support.

Attention!
It is important that the rope is not too long (that is, when the bottle falls with the mouse, it should not come into contact with the floor).

So, the mouse enters the bottle and moves to the bottom with the bait, the bottom outweighs and the bottle falls. The mouse is in a suspended bottle and cannot get out of it.

Another interesting option

It is necessary to take the bottle and pierce it through the needle in the area of the lid and bottom. It is necessary that the tank can easily provide rotation around its own axis.

It is necessary to secure the needles on the bucket so that the bottle rotates freely above it. The edges of the containers must be lubricated with products that have an attractive aroma for mice.

When the rodent wants to feast on the bait, he will begin to climb onto the bottle, but he will not be able to do this and will fall into the bucket.

Of course, the cat eats a mouse, but compared with this inhumane method, the considered option is considered more harmless.

Glass jar method

Catching a mouse will be successful if you apply this method. For its implementation, a large volume glass or glass jar in a capacity of 500 ml is required. You also need to get a coin. It is necessary to place the glass so that the edge of the coin touches the edges of the container and rests against them.

Advance gluing of the bait to the region of the inner edge of the glass container in advance. It may be a piece of cheese, lard, and another product that is attractive to mice.

Important!
When the rodent gets inside, he immediately wants to unhook the food from the wall and eat it, but when the coin slides off the edge, the glass is covered by a negligent animal. For ease of rotation of this fraud, it is recommended to mount the structure on high-density cardboard.

After that, you can give the mouse to the cat so that the cat eats it, however, since it is a matter of humane methods, it is necessary that the caught rodent be moved to another habitat.

The easiest way

This is the easiest and most effective way to catch a boring mouse. You need to get a simple bucket in which on the axis of any tube or knitting needle is installed a pole (similar to a springboard), any treats for a rodent are placed at its end.

You can consider the trap ready. After that, it is necessary to mount a stack of books right near the tank for a simple hit of the animal inside.

When the mouse gets to the treat, under the weight of its own body the perch will drop and the animal will fall into the bucket. Mice can be caught in this way because it is humane and easy to use.

How to catch a mouse with a bucket of water

This method will also help to catch a mouse without a mousetrap. It is necessary to prepare an arsenal of improvised tools for the "hunt". This is a bucket filled with water in an amount of slightly less than ½ part, a piece of paper, bait and scotch tape.

The paper size should be slightly larger than the diameter of the bucket. Fastening is carried out by means of an adhesive tape, they are bent from the top of the edge.

Advice!
In the middle of the paper material, an incision is made in the form of a cross measuring 5 * 5 cm. A cracker is placed on it.

Make sure that this bait is not in the bucket. You need to build a little help through which the rodent can get to the coveted bait. Unfortunately, he will not go back, because he will be in a bucket.

In what places to set a trap

If traces of a “parasitic” mouse are found in the house, a set of measures is urgently needed. However, the question arises of where to set the trap so that it turns out to be effective and can be seen by small rodents.

Special devices are recommended to be installed in dark secluded corners. It is also worth paying attention to the places in which the mouse lives most often, as well as to the areas of the house in which the signs of its habitat and vital activity are most often recorded.

It is best to set the bait near the food supply, because the rodents that wound up in the house, prefer to use these areas as habitats. Therefore, when you see the bait, your “pet” will come across without suspecting anything.

What foods to use for bait

Mice are omnivorous animals, so they can be caught in any food. As cats sometimes catch mice, so the rodents themselves love to "catch" their "prey" and enjoy it with plenty.

There is a popular belief that mice love cheese and eat only it, but this is a myth. In fact, they do not follow a vegetarian diet, so meat can easily be used.

Attention!
It is necessary to choose such products that exude aroma, since the mouse scent does not deceive.

Seeds, cereals act well on the smell of rodents. And before you start the action, look at which of the cereals suffered the most - use them.

How to catch a mouse in a house without a mousetrap

Mice are one of the most useful animals for humans. After all, they conduct numerous experiments and test new drugs, and only then try on people. But, even knowing the benefits that mice bring, not many people agree to side by side with them.

But, despite this, killing the mouse is still a pity. Therefore, many ways were invented to catch a mouse without mousetraps.

Mice are the main carriers of infection and disease. If rodents start in an apartment, house or cottage, they spoil furniture, walls and floors. Therefore, many want to get rid of such neighbors. Below are ways to catch a mouse without a mousetrap.

First way

Using a bucket. This method will work if you need to catch more than one mouse. You need to take a bucket and glue a newspaper folded into several folds on top of it on tape.

In the center of the newspaper, cut through the cross - crosswise and grease them with bait. For these purposes, cheese, sausage or lard is suitable.

Important!
A piece of bait should be put on a newspaper. Homemade mousetrap is ready.

Next, you need to put it in the room where the mice live most often, at night. To this bucket you need to come up with a ladder, a ruler or a broom is suitable for these purposes.

Second way

Using a glue trap. Building such a trap is easy. To do this, you need to buy glue for catching mice. With this glue you need to smear any unnecessary surface (a piece of cardboard or plastic is perfect) around the perimeter and "shade" it inside. Put bait on this surface and leave it in the place where mice are most often found.

Third way

Using rugs. Glue mats for catching mice are sold in stores. They act on the principle of a homemade glue trap.

Such rugs do not require any additional manipulations, and you do not need to put bait on them. It needs to be rolled out on the floor or table and wait for the mice to seduce the smell.

Fourth way

Using a bottle. For this purpose, you will need a plastic, or rather a glass bottle. The neck of the bottle should be greased with a fragrant bait and hung from the table. A mouse can crawl into holes no larger than 1.5 cm in diameter, so it can easily get into a bottle, but it will be problematic to get out.

The second way to catch a mouse in a bottle. To do this, you need to tie the bottle by the neck to anything heavy, standing on the table. Or specifically for this purpose, bring some massive stone from the street.

We tie the bottle, drop the bait to the bottom and place the bottle horizontally on the table so that one half is on the table and the other hangs. When the mouse, attracted by the smell of the bait, gets into the bottle, the bottle slides off the table and hangs in the air with the mouse.

Fifth way

The most popular is the method of catching mice using a jar of coin. To do this, you need a half-liter jar and a coin larger than 2.5 cm in size. We put the jar upside down on a cardboard.

We put one of the edges of the can on the edge of the coin, and inside we put a fairly large piece of bait. We leave a jar with a coin for the night, on the floor. When the mouse crawls into the jar and tries to pull the "prey" out, the coin will sway and the jar will slam. And the mouse will remain inside.

Advice!
Humanity begins with trifles. Of course, it’s easy to simply poison the mice or set a mousetrap, but in this way, people take the lives of innocent animals.

It’s not their fault that they also want to live in warmth. So do not kill mice, because in order not to share an apartment or a house with rodents, you need to carefully clean the living space.

How to catch a mouse

Mice are very annoying roommates. If mice appeared in your house or apartment, then it is advisable to get rid of them as soon as possible so that they do not start to multiply.

After all, when their number increases exponentially, so does your headache.

First of all, you should think in advance about getting a cat or cat. By nature, these animals are very peculiar. So, it is noticed that cats are the best predators than males, whose brains are completely disconnected completely in the spring due to the onset of the mating season.

But the flip side of the coin is the fact that modern cats in big cities are not used to hunting, since the owners themselves most often present them with food on a cozy plate.

So you should not spoil your pet too much or choose other methods of getting rid of mice in the apartment.

Mousetrap has always been considered a very effective tool. Now there are several varieties of them, but the most modern and effective is still electric. Also use the old mechanical, working on a spring principle.

Attention!
Well, if you are a convinced humanist and do not want to kill a mouse, then use a mousetrap on a sticky basis. The rodent will stick to it, after which it will be easy to remove from your home.

But remember that taking it away means sending it to a distance of at least one kilometer. Only then can you be sure that there will be no relapse and the return of the mouse to your home.

Mousetraps tend to act instantly, you’ll most likely find out about their work when "the fish got on the hook." But still there is a possibility that she will only injure the animal, and it will die in the bowels of your apartment, or rather its walls.

It is in order to avoid this trouble, which will lead to an odor that is not pleasant, we can recommend the use of "grandfather's methods."

One of the long-used products from mice in the house is a glass jar of capacity from two to three liters. Its walls must be carefully lubricated with vegetable oil, though do not touch the first 5-10 centimeters from the neck.

Then at the bottom of the can put a bait with a sharp and attractive smell for rodents, it is best smoked. Put the jar on an inclined plane or lean it on a stand.

When the mouse gets inside the can, its paws sliding along the oiled walls of the vessel will not allow it to get out.

You can also build a mousetrap from a cardboard box on your own. Just cut off the edges of the box on one side, and support the lid formed in this way with matches or other brittle props (such as spaghetti).

Important!
The mouse will climb inward to the bait installed there and begin to swarm, eating it. Here the supports will not stand, breaking under the weight of the lid and covering the mouse inside the trap.

True, this method is not reliable, since much depends on the accuracy of the calculations and the quality of the “trap” itself.

Some craftsmen manage to make a trap for mice from an empty roll of paper towels. It is simply placed on the edge of the table, and at the end, which hangs from this very edge, is a bait for rodents.

Under the table at this time is a bucket. The mouse will crawl inside, begin to break the bait and, under its own weight, will quickly go to the trash in the literal sense of the word.

It will be even more difficult for her to get out of the bucket if her walls are coated with vegetable oil, as we already did in the case of the can.

You can make a trap from a plastic bottle. Just cut it off the bottom. Make notches and bend them inward. The mouse will crawl in, lured by the bait, and will not be able to get out, since the cloves will rest against it.

As bait, you can use cereal grains, smoked products and animal feed. Also attracted to mice are peanut butter, fried seeds.

It is a mistake to assume that rodents are being taken for cheese - all this is a stereotype that has nothing to do with the truth and is most likely imposed by children's cartoons.

Advice!
Finally, we advise you what to do in order to avoid the appearance of unwanted guests in your house or apartment. First of all, you need to carefully remove bread crumbs and other food debris from the table.

It is best if you store all the cereals and cereal grains for cooking your favorite dishes in containers with a tight lid, and not in ordinary plastic bags.

Remember that even people living in apartments on the upper floors are not immune to the appearance of mice in the house. These animals, especially on the eve of winter, are looking for a place where they will be warm, comfortable and satisfying. So no one is insured.

Remember that poison sprinkled with mice is not always effective. Rodents simply die usually from him at once.

And if this happens when they climb into the hole, removing the foul-smelling little body will be awful as not easy. It is possible that your expensive repair will suffer a lot from this ...

If you still use mousetraps, then install several of them. This will increase the likelihood of catching a mouse, and if it is not already alone, it can guarantee you a high speed and efficiency in catching unwanted cohabitants.

Homemade traps for rats and mice

Everyone knows that using a mousetrap is the main way to catch rodents. But not everyone wants to buy it, as a rule, the reason for this is humane considerations. To destroy the mouse, a variety of types of poison with taste bait are used.

Attention!
The rodent is attracted by the tasty smell of the bait, eats poison with it and dies. But this method cannot be used in homes where children are children or animals. It can be very dangerous for them!

Well, of course, one can not say about cats here. They are the most gambling mouse hunters. But today far from all cats and cats enthusiastically take on the performance of their immediate duties - to catch mice.

Modern kittens are lazy, they do not need to worry about food, because the owner always gives them water and feed. In order for a modern cat to budge and start to catch mice, it needs to be kept on a starvation diet for several days, but this is also inhumane, you must agree.

Some people rent cats from their neighbors. In some cases, just the smell of a cat is enough to make the mouse leave the room.

But there is such a category of people who do everything in order not to harm the mouse when it is captured.

Catching a mouse, they release it away from home. They use only humane methods for capture. But how to catch a gray creature so as not to harm him? Some of these methods will be discussed below.

Plastic bottle

To implement this method, any plastic bottle will work, for example, you can use containers made from lemonade or beer. Capacity of 1.5-2 liters is better. At the bottle, you need to cut the neck so that the mouse can freely penetrate inside.

This is most conveniently done with scissors with sharp ends. Now at the top of the bottle with an awl you need to pierce the hole. For it we tie a rope to the bottle.

Important!
The bottle should hang on this rope when a mouse enters it. At the very bottom of the bottle we put the bait.

By the way, do you know that mice also have taste preferences? Their obvious gastronomic addiction is makukha. Those involved in fishing will not have to explain what it is. For the rest, let’s say that this is the cake remaining after squeezing the oil from the seeds.

2 types of mousetraps from a bottle

So, we lay our bait, and put the bottle on the edge of the table so that it hangs on the rope when the mouse approaches the bait.

The second edge of the rope, of course, will have to be fixed for something. It is better if the bottle is laid on a fabric base, thus its sliding on the table will be significantly reduced. With this simple design, you can catch mice at home and in the office.

And here are some other types of lures you can use:

  • chocolate;
  • slices of bread soaked in unrefined vegetable oil;
  • kernels of nuts.

Cardboard box

For this type of humane mousetrap, we need a cardboard box and twine. It is quite possible to use a box from under shoes. The scheme of the device is as follows: the rope is attached to the center of the bottom of the box on the inside.

On its other end, a bait is tied. It is very important that the rope does not touch the floor, the bait must be in limbo.

The box should be turned over and put on supports. Matches or something else can be used as props, the main thing is to ensure that the structure is shaky.

See how everything will happen: the mouse will smell the bait, which is tied to a rope in the central part of the inverted box, then it will certainly take the bait with its paws to try it.

But since our design stands on a very unstable support, it will certainly collapse, and the box will cover the mouse, turning it into a captive. After that, you can release the mouse, because the box will not cause it any harm. Slices of sausage are taken as bait; bread soaked in sunflower oil or something else.

Bottle and bucket

And here is another humane way. We take a plastic bottle, pierce it with a needle along the length, that is, the needle is inserted into the bottle cap and exits through the bottom. Pay particular attention to the fact that the bottle should rotate freely on the spoke.

Advice!
The ends of the knitting needles should be fixed on a bucket. A bottle fixed in this way should be greased with something that has an attractive smell for mice, or a deliciously smelling bait should be fixed on it.

Do you understand what the point is? Attracted by a delicious smell, the mouse will certainly climb onto the bottle in order to feast on. But since the bottle will spin on the spoke, the mouse will not be able to maintain balance, and will surely fall into a bucket.

And to make it easier for the mouse to climb onto our device, create conditions for it to do this by substituting a wooden board for the bucket, for example.

Bank and coin

Also quite simple and accessible to everyone. For its implementation, we need a glass half-liter jar and a coin - a five-ruble one is quite suitable. We turn the jar over, put it on the floor, then we lift one edge and put a coin under it on the edge.

Before this, a bait should be attached to the edge of the can. Already got it? Of course, the mouse will crawl under the jar and begin to try to tear off the food, which will necessarily lead to the coin falling and the jar covering the gray robber.

After that, we only need to remove the captive from the can.To make this more convenient, you need to initially put the bank on a piece of cardboard. After the mouse gets caught, you need to pick up the cardboard along with the can. You can release your captive - she will not suffer at all.

Glue trap

This method is very simple, but it can be called humane only with a big stretch. On sale you can find glue for catching rodents. We smear them with any surface - a piece of cardboard is quite suitable.

Attention!
In the center of the smeared surface, do not forget to place a fragrant bait. It's simple: the mouse crawls on cardboard to get to the bait, and sticks.

Of course, you can release the captured mouse, but its existence is unlikely to be comfortable after it is smeared in glue, unless, of course, it occurs to you to clean your captive ...

Some useful tips

Now let me give you some useful tips on where to set traps. Special traps should be installed in a dark place, somewhere in dark corners. It should be remembered that mice most often appear where there are products, but in such places traps will be most effective.

As a bait, you can use a variety of products: like mice, and cheese, and sausage, and nuts, and bread. It is very good if the bait will smell strongly, so it will be easier to attract a mouse.

And also various cereals are very suitable for this. The gastronomic preferences of your guests can be determined by the most affected products. Here they should be used.

Reviews of fighters with mice

Valya, Babaevo. I somehow do not really bother about humanity with respect to mice. I believe that pests should be destroyed, because if you release them near your home, they will again honor you with their presence after a while.

Do not take them away 10 kilometers from the house. I always drown the caught mice in a bucket. Sorry, if anything ...

Important!
Anton, Tver. I constantly invent different traps for mice, because my wife really does not like mousetraps that hurt animals. I would like to say a few words about the bait. Mice most of all “peck” at nuts; sunflower oil, it is very important that it has a smell, that is, it would be unrefined; also gray guests will not refuse meat, fat and seeds.

Oleg, Syzran. And I did a little differently: I took a bucket, half filled it with water, covered the bucket with newspaper. In the middle, I made an incision crosswise to make the mouse fail.

Well, in short, put bait on the newspaper and put a ladder for a mouse on a bucket (wooden board). The mouse climbed onto a newspaper-covered bucket and fell into the water. This is also somehow inhumane, but for me, breeding mice is much more important.

Katerina, Barysh. I read a blunt about the box, and I remembered another way to capture mice. I do not remember the source of information, but the point is that they take the box and fill it with dry fruits of burdock. The bait is put in a box.

The mouse enters the box, tastes the bait, but at the same time it is full of burdock, which makes her life so difficult that it will ultimately cause her death. The method, of course, is inhumane, so it is better to use it for those who do not really bother about this.

Kira, Aprelevka. I don’t like it when animals are hurt, even if they are pests. Of course, mice give us some inconvenience, but in fact nature created them like that. Therefore, I never use mousetraps.

I asked my husband to come up with some kind of device for catching mice that would not harm the animals. My husband is a big inventor, and he designed a device based on a plastic bottle. Something he spied on the Internet, something finalized himself.

You know, such a trap works, but once I noticed how a large mouse managed to get out of the bottle. After that, the husband began to moisten its inside with sunflower oil. Now all mice remain trapped.

  1. It’s a funny way, but I had so many of them in the country that you won’t be able to do so in such an easy way, and you can step on your own traps in the dark)) I remember how I fought with mice for about half a year, then with great difficulty I managed to etch them with using dichlorvos) Something less is unlikely to take them.
