How to get rid of the bear in the garden forever

Hello! Usually, I endured all the hardships of dealing with country pests, but the first experience of meeting with the bear simply shocked me.

At some point, because of powerlessness, my hands almost dropped when in the morning I saw a pitted garden and corroded carrots with potatoes.

But I decided to go all the way. As a result, an effective remedy against the bear was found. She did not bother anymore. Want to know how to get rid of the bear in the garden forever? How to prevent its new appearance? Now I will sign everything in detail.

How to get rid of a bear forever

It is difficult to overestimate the damage that the bear does to gardeners every year. It can damage all crops in the shortest possible time. Neither the enormous size of the territory, nor the chemicals stop it.

If you do not start the fight in time, you can lose the whole garden. How to get rid of a bear? Is there an effective means to kill an insect? What measures are useless?

Vest activity

You need to start to worry already at the first signs of the appearance of this insect. However, often gardeners notice only a couple of individuals on their site and do not consider the pest to be dangerous.

Important!
First of all, you can see the pitted earth - these are the tunnels through which the insect moves. Sometimes a bear is confused with bugs, cockroaches and is generally not recognized as a pest.

The bear lives mainly underground. He prefers to eat edible tubers, especially likes potatoes, radishes, radishes. But trees with shrubs also suffer from it - in search of food, the insect eats everything that it meets on the way. An interesting feature - the bear is well-versed in vegetation and does not touch the weed grass.

We advise you to immediately prepare for a long and serious fight, the insect has many natural adaptations that allow it to adapt to any conditions. During one summer, the bear can damage the root system of all trees on the site and destroy all tuberous vegetables.

Anatomy and life cycle

To choose the optimal method of struggle, you need to have an idea about the structure of the insect. The bear is covered with chitinous growths that form a kind of carapace. It is so hard that it is impossible to crush it with bare hands, only with effort.

With enough food, the bear can grow up to 5-6 cm in length. A bear can fly over short distances, its wings allow it to be in the air for several tens of minutes.

It is useless to catch and destroy it by mechanical methods; it is a waste of energy. Not only is the bear almost impossible to catch, it will still have time to lay eggs in its moves. One adult bear can lay eggs, from which several hundred new individuals will emerge.

Wintering the bear leaves right in the soil.Interestingly, burrows are trying to dig near the roots of young plants in order to provide themselves with food in the spring. It is in the spring period that it is advisable to begin the struggle.

The insect will not have time to multiply yet, and by destroying a significant number of adult pests in the area, their spread can be avoided.
Household cleaning

Advice!
Not all gardeners are engaged in autumn foliage harvesting, pruning branches and tillage. Such a measure would be a very good prevention if the bear had already attacked the site once. It is important to plow the earth to the depth of the passage.

It is recommended to carry out plowing before the very frosts, otherwise a few insects will have time to build new tunnels for themselves. Similarly, it is recommended to do those who unsuccessfully fight with a bear. This will help to slightly reduce the pest reproduction rate in spring.

Fixed assets in the fight

How to get rid of a bear forever? It is necessary to destroy existing individuals and prevent the emergence of new ones. You need to start work after the last snow has melted.

Insects begin to move as soon as the soil warms up, and are activated by the time of planting of tuber crops closer to the end of spring.

The primary measure is the use of various chemicals. This is of little use for plants, but it will be worse if the insect destroys all plantings.
Algorithm for the use of purchased drugs:

  1. First, you need to choose the right composition. There are absolutely no safe ones, so you need to proceed from the degree of infection, and also take into account the cultural characteristics of the sprouts planted on the site.
  2. There are special preparations, the use of which begins right before disembarkation. They help to avoid destruction. Most formulations are sold for processing potatoes in seeds.
  3. Plant seeds are treated immediately before planting, and in seedlings the roots are soaked in the solution. It should be noted that most chemicals will also help save the crop from the Colorado potato beetle.
  4. After a couple of weeks after planting, the concentration of the chemical in the leaves and stems will decrease significantly, which means that the bear can get to the plants, albeit not from the ground, but the insects do not disdain the green parts. To avoid the destruction of young plants, poisonous traps must be prepared in advance.

Use a drug called "Bi-52." It has a double effect - it scares off most pests due to its smell, but if the bear nevertheless dares to try it, it will die.

How to get rid of a bear forever? Often there are situations when the bear occupies large areas and when hatched simply returns from nearby sites.

Attention!
A popular modern method is the use of ultrasonic repellers. These devices emit sounds that insects cannot tolerate, they feel the danger and leave the territory.

You need to know that if you set traps in only one area on your own, then the desired effect will not be achieved, you need to agree with the neighbors, otherwise all efforts will be futile and the insect will return.

What else can be done?

  • Constantly add poisonous to insect preparations when loosening the soil. It may take more than one season, but the number of pests will gradually decrease.
  • Catch a bear using folk remedies using slate, pieces of cardboard or plywood. First, the affected soil is abundantly poured with water. Then spread the material on it. You need to wait 12-16 hours, and under the material you can collect a lot of pests that crawled out of the flooded tunnels.
  • Regularly cultivate the soil after harvesting.

Is it possible to destroy a terrible potato pest?

Another name for the bear is “cricket-mole”, because the bear’s powerful forelimbs dig no worse than the mole, and at night it makes sharp lingering sounds. In Ukraine, the people are called the little bear “vovochka”, probably because it has a very awesome appearance.

How it harms and where it lives

For many gardeners, there is great grief when a bear eats young seedlings or, like on a potato, damages tubers.

And in an irrigated and un-cultivated area it can destroy the whole crop, because the bear likes to settle in places where the soil is well warmed up by the sun, and where its hole is located, gnaws young plants on the south side so that the shadow from them does not fall on the hole, which the size of a chicken egg and is located at a depth of 10-15cm.

Popular ways to get rid of the pest

It is difficult to deal with this pest, but if you make efforts, you can get rid of the bear. To reduce the number of cubs at the end of September, you can dig holes in the garden with a depth of 0.5 m, fill them with manure, they say, it is better to horse, with straw.

When the cold weather sets in, the bear cub takes a winter in these dung pits, and then, when frost sets in, these heaps must be scattered around the garden - the bear and its larvae will die from frost.

The bear can also be caught in half-liter jars filled with 2/3 of water, for which the jars are dug in the soil at the surface level in places of mass accumulation of insects.

At the beginning of the growing season (in late May and early June), 2-3 rows of rows are sown 2-3 times to a depth of 10-15 cm. Dug eggs and larvae will die.

You can lay out bait from fresh manure at the beginning of May, into which the pest crawls into the holes and lay eggs, and after 3-4 weeks, bait heaps are examined and the bear and eggs are destroyed.

Important!
You can irrigate the area inhabited by the bear with infusion of onion husks at the rate of 900-1000 g of husk and onion waste, poured with 10 liters of warm water and infused for 4-5 days. In general, this infusion is used to combat many pests in the garden.

Before use, the infusion is diluted with water at a concentration of 1: 5 and water the plants after rain 2-3 times after 5-7 days; in the absence of rain, the area is watered. Chicken manure infusion is also used at the rate of 2 kg per 10 liters of water.

After thorough mixing and dilution with water (1: 5), dry soil is watered with it. In the soil fertilized with chicken droppings, the bear does not live.

The bear is scared away by marigolds planted between vegetable crops, as well as green alder branches arranged at a distance of 1.5 m, which are replaced from time to time with fresh ones. In addition, a detergent for the bear is a solution of washing powder, which is poured into the mink.

The pest also dies from eating bait from egg shell powder moistened with sunflower oil.

You can shed the moves of the bear, which are visible by a slight elevation of the earth, with a solution of laundry soap (200 g per 10 l of water) with the addition of vegetable oil (0.5 l per 10 l of soap solution). Vegetable oil adheres to the body of the insect and closes the trachea, making breathing more difficult.

Arguments for Mulching

Since the bear loves warm, dry, well-warmed up places by the sun, many find a way out of mulching their sites - in this case, constant moisture is maintained under the layer of mulch, and the bear leaves such sites.

Another argument in favor of the fact that the earth should never remain bare. Only the mulching layer should be quite thick - at least 15-20 cm.

Advice!
I, in due time, received an unpleasant lesson - I covered the earth with a thin layer of needles (again, the needles acidify the soil), about 5 cm thick. It’s a pity, I can’t upload photos - as I wrote already, they were, unfortunately, deleted. In the photographs it was clear what wonderful wonderful shoots were.

But by the end of the potato season, this plot from the rest began to differ for the worse - the tops earlier began to dry out, although it should still turn violently green. And when potatoes were already dug up, then these experimental rows, or rather, potato tubers, were spoiled by the bear, beyond recognition.

Chemical methods

The most radical measure to combat this pest is the use of chemicals, but once again, this is the most radical measure and, if you are not a proponent of the use of chemistry, then try not to resort to it.

To do this, use drugs "Medvetox-U", "Stormbreaker", "Wofatox." You can cook pea chop and then mix it with the Regent preparation, add beer there in order to lure the bear.

Then, before planting potatoes, in about 2-3 weeks, we draw a groove with a plane cutter or a chopper, in which we apply the bait, and then sprinkle with earth a little.

In addition, potato tubers, before planting in the open ground, are still soaked in a suspension of the Prestige preparation, which is also used against the Colorado potato beetle.

How to get rid of cabbage in the garden?

If you find a clutch of large eggs, or predatory looking larvae (over time, they grow powerful forelimbs), or a large insect covered with a brown carapace - you are dealing with a bear.

Attention!
Experienced gardeners argue that the most effective fight with the bears is obtained in the first two stages. Adult individuals are only subject to capture and physical destruction - as practice shows, they are very resistant to insecticides.

Note that depending on many factors, the size of this insect can be different. The visiting card remains a heavy “armored” head and spade-shaped forelimbs, with which the bear digs tunnels.

What does the bear do?

It damages the household, damaging the roots and root crops, as well as breaking tunnels at night. A large bear population is a disaster for the modern garden. What to do if a bear is wound up in the garden or in the garden?

First of all, to master planting on a fine mesh or nylon. To do this, before planting, we dig a ditch, up to 15 cm deep. We lay a nylon or mesh in several layers, on top of it is a layer of soil and bulbs or seeds.

An alternative - strawberries and tomatoes (they suffer most from this pest) are planted in containers. In the meantime, the garden is growing, we begin the struggle.

Pest Control

We will divide all methods of struggle into chemical, physical and biological. The biological way to get rid of a bear is to “set” a nematode or larra on it.

Both species infect a brood of pests, but at the same time, they themselves also damage plants. The most vulnerable insects are in June-August, so add to the summer work in July also the fight with the bear.

Important!
There are many physical ways to deal with the bears: starting from ultrasonic repellers (this insect hears sounds and even “sings” during the mating season), ending with traps. However, in 73% of gardeners, ultrasonic repellers proved to be ineffective.

Slightly higher in traps for molasses or sugar - up to 80%. Another amazing way is to throw bright (possibly phosphorescent) pieces of plastic into a pond. They will lure the bear and other garden pests that crawl to the water and drown. True, the effectiveness of this method is about 20%.

"Grandma's way" to get rid of the bear is in two groups at once: physical and chemical. We take a solution of dishwashing detergent or washing soap and pour it into the holes made by the bugs.

After a while, the bears get to the surface. Soap does not kill them, but creates discomfort. Selected insects are caught manually or using a net.

The chemical method is the use of insecticides. Here is a list of chemicals against the bear:

  • Imidahloprid
  • Medvetox
  • Talstar (granules)
  • Acefat Pro
  • Boverin
  • Medvetsid
  • Regent (capsules)
  • Rembek (capsules)
  • Calcium carbide preparations or pure formulation
  • Basamide
  • Anti Medvedka (granules)
  • Phenaxin Plus (granules)
  • Thunder 2
  • Diazinon
  • Aktara
  • Bankol
  • Thunderbolt
  • Bison

Methods of dealing with the bear

The harm caused by the bear in the garden can be safely compared with the invasion of locusts, when within a short time the entire crop in vast territories is destroyed, if nothing is done.

Even if this original-looking creature just appeared in the garden, you should sound the alarm. Soon the whole site will be in small burrows - these are the moves of the bear.

Unlike a beetle, a bear, moving underground in search of delicious tuberous vegetables, “tries” everything that comes across on the way. Therefore, young seedlings and other plantings suffer.

With sad humor, we can add that if there are no vegetables in the garden, then nothing threatens the weeds - she does not eat them. Conclusion - the bear lives only where a person puts his work. Therefore, only the owner of the site can get rid of it ...

In order to understand how to deal with it, you should know the structure of the insect itself. A bear, unlike a bug or its larvae, cannot be crushed by fingers. Her body is rigid, her back is covered with a shell, from which came her second name - earth cancer.

And thanks to powerful wings, she has the ability to fly, so it is difficult to catch with her hands.

Advice!
Medvedka digs moves at a small distance from the surface, sufficient to get to the roots of young shoots and planted seed material - potatoes. But in the case of a very cold winter, its vertical passages can reach a meter in depth.

These individuals are very thermophilic, therefore it is most convenient to fight them from the beginning of spring. Moreover, it is at this time that she lays eggs, from which about 300 young insects subsequently appear.

How to fight

Unfortunately, in recent years, the agricultural industry has somewhat weakened its attitude to the requirements for tillage. After harvesting, the land is plowed to an insufficient depth, and early plowing will only slightly disturb the burrows already formed for wintering.

In addition, insects still have time that allows them to make new shelters and comfortably winter at a safe distance from a cold surface.

If the soil is cultivated to a sufficient depth during the first frosts, then young insects, which still cannot dig into great depths, will be in the cold and die. A large number of adults will winter. They will have to fight with them in winter, from early spring, and again until the colds.

After autumn loosening of the soil, disturbed insects begin to look for food and shelter for themselves. A shallow hole should be excavated throughout the site and manure applied. Insects surviving after plowing will find salvation there. When the frost comes, you need to scatter manure from the holes in the garden. They will not be able to dig back - they will freeze.

In the same pits, you can put the next "portion" of manure, and do not touch it until spring. Before preparing the soil for planting, these traps should be burned with any flammable liquid. There will be much less pests, but this cannot be stopped.

The remaining individuals will begin to travel underground in search of delicious food. By this time, gardeners planted seeds, seedlings and potatoes.

Attention!
If the fight with the bear is only at the initial stage, then when planting it is worth using chemical preparations. They will greatly help to save planting material, but this should not be stopped.

One insect will recover, the other will bypass the unpleasant smell, and the third, after its disappearance, will nevertheless take over the plant. Therefore, one should not refuse from folk methods of getting rid of earth cancer, together with poisons.

Which remedies are most effective

There are not so many chemicals to get rid of the bear. Each of them gives a separate effect. "Prestige", "Masterpiece" and "Actara" is used for processing seed and seedlings.Seed potatoes are sprayed before planting, and the roots of the seedlings are soaked before planting in open ground.

This method protects the planting not only from the bear, but also from the Colorado potato beetle, for which the leaves of the plant treated with this drug are deadly.

Since the poisonous substance moves gradually from the root into the stems and leaves of the plant, they will soon become safe for the bear. Therefore, in the holes intended for potatoes and seedlings, it is worth putting poisonous baits or making them yourself from the Bi-58 preparation.

It is added to the boiled grain (so as not to germinate), it is insisted for 12 hours and laid out in holes with potatoes and seedlings. Due to the fact that the poison "Bi-58" has an unpleasant odor, insects bypass them, and those that try - die.

Ultrasonic repellers allow you to keep the bear at some distance from the site that makes an unpleasant sound. But they will not go far. In order to succeed, it is advisable to use this method together with neighbors.

Otherwise, as soon as the mechanism fails for some reason, the cleared area will immediately be attacked. Until the owner notices the damage, the crop will be destroyed.

Is it possible to get rid of the parasite forever

Despite the fact that insects will die from the drug, this procedure alone will not help to get rid of the “bear” population completely. Therefore, with each loosening of row-spacings to destroy weeds, the drug is again added to the soil.

Important!
To do this, pickled grains must be scattered throughout the area immediately before loosening. After processing the site, all grains will be sprinkled with earth and easily accessible for disturbed insects.

In order to get rid of the bear at all, and not just save the crop this year, insects must be caught throughout the season. For this, some popular methods are suitable:

  • Manual insect capture. Wide planks, pieces of plywood and slate are laid out on the site - everything that is at hand. In a pre-flooded area, cover the ground with these objects and press a little. In a day, the little bears will “bask” under the boards. Not understanding that the top is not soil, but a foreign object, they will make moves directly on the surface of the earth. She will also run away on these moves. It remains only to quickly catch her. The board can be put in place and move to another.
  • Bait with alcohol and sweet. Between the potato beds you can make bottle traps with a small amount of kvass or beer (100 g). Tie the neck with a bandage and dig in so that the neck is raised. The insect easily gnaws the bandage and gets inside, where it smells very good. It will not be able to get out through the neck of the bottle. In a week, the trap will be complete. The insects that got into it should be destroyed, and the bait trap put in place.
  • Put a little honey in jars (0.5 L) and cut plastic bottles dug up at ground level. After falling to the bottom, the pest cannot get out on the sliding sweet walls.

Pour water diluted with kerosene, washing powder or soap into the bearish moves from the watering can. The insect will run out of another move. Therefore, in this case, dexterity is necessary in order to catch it.

Dig steel rods around the perimeter of a site densely populated by insects. Pull a fishing line between them and hang CD / DVD discs to it. The vibration effect that comes from the fact that the disk is spinning repels insects.

But they do not go far, only at a certain distance, where the annoying noise does not bother her. But this method is complicated. A "web" of fishing line will make it difficult to move around the garden when processing it.

Folk methods are aimed more at deterring and exterminating only specific individuals. Therefore, in large areas, all the terms and rules of tillage should be observed. If you deal with insects comprehensively all year together with neighboring sites, then you can get rid of them forever.

How to eliminate a bear in your garden?

Amateur gardeners have repeatedly been faced with the fact that, not seeing the destroyer of their labors, they observe an unpleasant result of their activities. This beetle is called "earthen cancer."

Medvedka is an insect, the length of which can be from 35 to 50 mm, has short leathery elytra, digging front legs resembling claws (hence the common name comes from). Mostly settles in the soil, which is rich in humus.

Advice!
Bears reach winter depths of up to 100 cm. At an air temperature of 12-15 degrees, they mass exit to the surface, and at 5-6 degrees they begin to prepare for winter, arranging rookery in a pile of manure, sawdust or plant debris, and, as much as possible deeper.

These pests mate underground, after which the females begin to build a nest. In one egg laying there can be from 100 to 500 eggs, the development of which lasts from 10 days (depending on weather conditions).

For the masonry to develop normally, it needs 100% humidity. Within 3 weeks after leaving the eggs, the larvae remain under the supervision of the mother in the nest.

The pest destroys the underground parts of plants of tomatoes, cabbage, pepper, eggplant, strawberries, flowers, onions, etc. After this, the seedlings dry out, lose their strength, they are easy to pull out of the soil. In potato tubers and other root crops, the bear eats cavities, they eat seeds, spoil the root systems.

Often they destroy greenhouse vegetable plants and seedlings planted in tunnels under the film. On the day they are able to destroy up to 15 bushes of eggplant or pepper.

If winding earthen ridges appeared on the surface of the soil and there are holes of small diameter, about 8-10 mm, in the ground (especially visible after rain), then your “green wards” were attacked by a bear, which is not so easy to get out of the garden, but -so possible. So how to get rid of the bear?

Protective measures

Everyone knows that the disease is easier to prevent than to cure. Experienced gardeners carry out a number of protective measures to prevent the appearance of a bear in the garden. Their example should be noted by novice lovers.

In the second half of September in the garden, they begin to dig holes that do not exceed ½ meter in depth. These cavities are filled with horse or any other manure together with straw. (Remember what we said about the wintering of the bear).

Attention!
When the cold begins (late autumn or early winter), “traps” are dug up, and manure from them is scattered. As a result, all the bears will die from the cold.

You can get rid of the bear in the garden with the help of half-liter cans, which they dig into the ground at the very neck and pour about 2/3 of the water inside. This should be done in places, insects most accumulate.

Between the end of May and the beginning of July (vegetation) 2-3 rows are loosened, the depth of loosening is 10-15 cm, and dug larvae and eggs die.

When planting vegetables (peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, etc.), use plastic bottles (1-1.5 liter), which are cut into rings of 10-15 cm. These "structures" are dug into the ground, leaving 5 cm above the surface, and seedlings are already planted in them.

You can destroy the bear with the help of bait (lumps of fresh manure), which is laid out in early May. Insects crawl into them to arrange their holes and breed. After 3-4 weeks, manure is reviewed and pests destroyed.

Experienced "pest fighters" tell how to get rid of the bear with the help of homemade poison. To do this, take the eggshell and grind it into powder, moisten with sunflower oil and close it into the ground.

Damage to plants by these insects can be avoided by putting garlic in the hole. One clove will be enough.

In autumn, as an option, use a mixture of kerosene with water, at the rate of 100g per 10l. 30 g of solution is poured into each hole. You can use a solution of ordinary washing powder.

Pest Repellent

How to get rid of a bear in the garden if it migrates from neighboring sites? This is a rather serious question, since the “neighboring pests” can look into your well-kept area, and then peace will only be dreamed of. There are several means that simply scare away “earth cancer” from the trust territory.

Important!
Between vegetable crops, you should plant marigolds or arrange green alder branches at a distance of 1.5 meters. Periodically replace fading alder with fresh branches.

If nevertheless these harmful insects settled on your site, in the summer you can use tincture made from onion husks for watering. They prepare it like this: take 900 g of husk on 10 liters of warm water, insist 4-5 days.

Before using the resulting broth, it must be diluted in a ratio of 1: 5. It should be watered after rain after 5-7 days 2-3 times. If there is no rain, just water it.

You can prepare an infusion of chicken manure: 10 liters of water per 2 kg of manure, mix well and dilute 1: 5. Dry soil is watered. In such soil, pests simply will not start.

Using sand moistened with kerosene, you can scare away insects (1 glass - a bucket of sand). Sand is poured onto the ground, then poured with kerosene, shovel for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with the received "surprise for the little bear" the areas where the seedlings are planted (1 m2 - up to 0.5 liters).

Some radical methods of struggle

How to get rid of the bear, if other methods have proven to be ineffective? In such a situation, you will have to resort to radical measures - chemicals. Seedling roots before planting in the soil should be moistened in a suspension of 25WG actar.

The solution is diluted with 250 plants 1.5 g / l of water, at a temperature of 18-23 degrees. The exposure time is from 90 to 120 minutes. This method is suitable for protecting seedlings of sweet pepper, tomatoes, eggplant and cabbage.

To protect potatoes, as well as cabbage and tomatoes, you can use Medtox-U (1 hundredth -300g). The drug is applied to the furrows (3-4 cm in depth) between the beds or around the perimeter, after which the furrow is sprinkled with earth, watered after planting seedlings or tubers (1m2-10l of water).

Suspension Prestige 290 FS (at the rate of 10 l - 100 ml) is also able to help in the fight against the bear. Soaking time of plants - from 6 to 8 hours.

Phenoxin plus granules have a tempting smell that attracts a bear, poison is inside the capsule. In the manure, where the bear cubs often nest, make a depression and fill the granules. The "trap" should be covered, protecting domestic animals and birds from death.

Advice!
You can also use the drug directly on the beds, making beards up to 3-5 cm in depth, into which granules are laid out with a distance of 20-30 cm from each other. Do not forget about the earthen cover.

If the bears have changed their location and the granules are not needed, they should not be scooped up; they will dissolve on their own over time from watering, without causing harm. If there is confidence in the appearance of the bear, repeat the process after 2 weeks, when new offspring of pests appear.

Folk remedies and tips

How to get rid of a bear with beer. In the spring, they drop glass bottles at an angle of 45 degrees to the ground and fill them with 100 g of beer, close the neck with gauze. Sprinkle the dug up container with earth 3-4 cm. After two weeks, the “beer” should be replaced with fresh. During the day, 3-4 individuals fall into the trap!

Pests do not tolerate needles. You can scatter coniferous branches, larch, for example, between the beds. In addition, the smell of fir for these insects is very unpleasant.

This malicious pest also does not tolerate the smell of rotten fish. It should be put in the hole when landing 2 pieces of cheap fish. The beds with crops can be surrounded around the perimeter with pieces of fish and sprinkled with earth.During seed germination, the fish will deteriorate and scare away the bear.

You can pour fermented beer right into the bear’s hole.

How to destroy a bear with porridge made according to a special recipe? Cook a small pan of wheat porridge. The Regent preparation is introduced into the porridge, the balls are rolled from the obtained “delicacy” and the bears are pushed into the hole.

The presence of a bear can be determined as follows: abundantly water the path leading to the beds, let the water soak, and squeeze a piece of plywood or board into the ground.

After a day, we look: if there is at least one move under the board, then the bear has already settled in your garden. You can fill the passages with soapy water.

Important!
Mix metaphos with boiled grains of corn, barley, wheat, oilcake, at the rate of 1 kg per 50 g of the drug. Then add 30 g of vegetable oil and spread near the manure (1m2 - 50g).

Lubricate the jar with honey (below the neck), dig into the ground flush, cover with a piece of cardboard or a bent sheet of iron, put straw on top. The bear reacts to honey and ends up in the bank.

How to get rid of the bear in the garden or cottage?

As soon as you find a bear in your garden, you need to immediately sound the alarm, because, despite its relatively small size, this insect can destroy all crops in a few hours, just like locusts.

The bear moves underground. To do this, she digs minks, where she searches for such delicious tuberous vegetables for her. Often, the bear is called earthen cancer, which is associated with its structure. The pest of the bear’s vegetable gardens can grow up to 8 cm, and its body is covered with a hard shell, its paws are similar to claws.

Like most insects, the bear is activated in the spring, it is then that the fight against it is the most effective. Destroying a bear once and for all is quite difficult: for the most part it is resistant to neither chemicals nor physical effects, so farmers often use folk recipes.

Folk remedies in the fight against pest in the garden

Since you need to start fighting the bear in the spring, the first thing you should do is dig the soil deep. Thus, most insects will die from a shovel. The eggs that remain on the surface can simply be trampled.

Advice!
Around mid-May, many farmers begin to fertilize the land with cow or horse manure. Bears really like warmth, therefore, most likely, they will settle there. All that is required of you: leave a few piles of manure for a week, after which they must be collected and set on fire.

If you decide to fight the bears in the fall, then for this you need to dig a few pits 30-60 cm deep and toss there heaps of horse manure. Due to the fact that the Bears are very thermophilic (as mentioned above), they will decide to winter there.

At the end of November, when it will be cold enough, take a shovel and scatter manure in your garden. Slow and sleepy insects do not have time to burrow into the ground and die.

Chicken tincture is also capable of fighting a bear in the garden. In addition, then it can be used as fertilizer. Well, now let's talk in more detail about how to get rid of the bear in the garden!

We catch a bear for beer. If you are still wondering - how to get rid of the bear in the garden - you can use beer! It is the method described below that all farmers consider the most effective.

To do this, buy a grade of the cheapest beer or kvass, pour it into bottles or jars. Next, bury the glass containers in the ground at an angle of 45 °, thanks to this, the bears are easier to fall into a death trap.

Do not forget to pour sour beer and throw dead pests into the urn. This recipe can be used throughout the gardening period.

Needles in the fight against bears. Needles will also get rid of the bear with folk remedies. And for the implementation of this venture does not need to carry out anything supernatural ...

Attention!
First you need to collect the branches of the needles or its needles. After that, chop them and scatter them between the beds.

So that the needles do not dry out so quickly, you can sprinkle them with earth. Bears really do not like the aroma of needles, and therefore most of these malicious pests will immediately leave your site.

Get rid of the bear once and for all with the help of onion husks. As you managed to notice, this insect does not tolerate unpleasant odors, which is why tincture from onion husks will exterminate all the bear cubs for a rather long period of time.

To prepare such a tincture, you will need 1 kg of husk or onion waste. The husk needs to be poured with five liters of ordinary water and insisted for about a week. After that, the resulting tincture is diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 5 and watered the garden (2-3 times a week).

Iodine water and fish. A fairly simple recipe in the fight against the bear is to water the area with plain water with iodine. A bucket of water will require 15 drops of iodine, this will be enough. Bears do not like the smell of iodine, so your crops will remain intact and unharmed.

Insects and the smell of stale fish cannot tolerate. Therefore, if you want to destroy the bear, you can scatter pieces of fish between the beds. Feeling the smell of rotten meat, insects will immediately leave your garden and will not return there until all the smell has completely disappeared.

Chemicals against the parasite

There are not so many chemical agents for getting rid of the bear: Rembek, Rubit, Wofatox, Terradox, Medvetox. Each of them has a certain effect, but you should always remember that chemicals kill not only the bear, but also the animals that feed on it. It can be hedgehogs and various birds.

In addition, chemicals have a negative effect on humans, so you need to think carefully before using such substances.

Important!
Most of them are applied to seed material and seedlings. Bear eating tuber dies under the influence of toxins. But over time, the poison passes from tubers to leaves, as a result of which it becomes safe for the insect.

It is the poet who needs to use chemicals in tandem with poisonous baits, which are placed in holes for seedlings.

  1. I liked the finale the most: “It is the poet who needs to use chemicals ...”
Prose writers obviously must use biological agents.
