Front line for cats instructions for use

Hello! A few years ago I was breeding cats of one rather rare breed.

It was a good additional source of income, because one salary was never enough. At some point, I ran into a problem: cats began to suffer from the activity of lice.

In no case was I going to launch the situation, so I immediately resorted to using a proven tool. Now I want to tell you about the instructions for using Front Line for cats. It has helped me out more than once in recent times.

Front line for cats

Front line for cats is a combat division on the fronts of the fight against parasites such as fleas, lice and all kinds of ticks in cats and cats. This drug is suitable for the prevention of infection with parasites, and for the treatment of the effects of infection. It is also prescribed for allergic dermatitis and the presence of lupus.

Important!
The main active ingredient in Frontline Combo is fipronil. Fipronil is not absorbed into the bloodstream of the animal, but within a day after application it is evenly distributed over the skin and accumulates in the sebaceous glands.

And it is from the sebaceous glands that fipronil is gradually secreted out regularly along with the secret and thereby forms the desired concentration, a kind of aura that repels and protects your cat.

Front line for cats is available in two forms:

  1. Front Line Spray is packaged specifically for cats with a 100 ml spray bottle.
  2. Frontline drops are packaged in polyethylene pipettes from 0.5 milliliters to 4 milliliters of 3 pipettes in a blister.

  • Raising the coat with your hand, spray the cat's back, stomach, neck, paws and tail.

If your choice is limited to drops, then the Frontline Cat Guidelines recommend that you first cut the cap off the pipette. After, spreading the hair between the shoulder blades, apply the drug to dry (!) Skin. Please note that you cannot bathe an animal two days before treatment, or within 48 hours after treatment.

If the veterinarian advised Front Line for the treatment of ear scabies, you should drip drops (5-6 drops) in each ear, then bend the auricle in half and massage the base of the ear.

Remember to properly dispose of empty pipettes from under the product. For this, the pipette is wrapped in paper and a plastic bag. Remember that the active substance of Front Line is toxic to aquatic organisms, therefore it is strictly forbidden to throw packaging into water bodies!

Dosage

Front Line Spray: 3-ml per 1 kg of cat weight (6-12 clicks on the spray). Drops Frontline: Single dose - 0.5 ml (1 pipette)

Storage. The manufacturer recommends storing the unopened preparation at a temperature of up to 30 degrees Celsius. Date of issue and expiration date are indicated on the label.

The fact that the drug is available in the form of drops and in the form of a spray makes its use convenient and comfortable.

Another advantage of Front Line is the duration of the protective effect. In cats, Front Line acts as a barrier to parasites for 21 days, and specifically for fleas - a month and a half!

Contraindications and side effects

We have already mentioned that Front Line is toxic to aquatic organisms, but it is important to know that Front Line is also extremely toxic for rabbits.

Front line for cats is contraindicated:

Cat lovers reviews

Ruslan: “I mainly process a cat in the summer, when I take it for three months to the country. Most of all I worry about ticks. I use drops, although this is not very convenient, but it seems to me that reaching the withers of the cat is problematic and he is not so actively licking the toxic agent. Over the summer, we did not see any ticks or fleas on the cat, so I recommend Front Line! ”

Advice!
Margarita: “I am a breeder with extensive experience and experience and I can say that Front Line is not as effective as before. In my opinion, this happened because the parasites adapted to fipronil, and the manufacturers did not take this into account. As a result, I see that the drug only stupefies parasites, but does not kill them. "

Sergey: “I applied drops in full accordance with the instructions, for a long time I kept the cat in my arms and fought with its desire to dodge and lick the place of application. What I understood, then watching the cat - the fleas did not leave, but they did not bite. Paradox!"

Cat Owner Reviews

Lisa, 20 years old. My sympathy for cats led to the opening of the shelter. The husband was against: fleas, worms, diseases. But now he himself is actively attaching newcomers to good hands. Cats are different. It happens quite weakened, which also fleas eat up.

Attention!
For them, took Front Line Spot He. For the smallest, for kittens, I bought the same product, only in the form of a spray. It may be a little expensive, but it's worth it. A large spray can last for a long time and it suits everyone. Cats quickly come to their senses. Become attractive to potential owners. To them against fleas and ticks, I recommend the same medicine.

Karina, 25 years old. We live in a private house. We maintain the nursery of the British. Despite the fact that cats walk only in the aviary, and we carefully monitor that there are no strangers, fleas are an inevitable evil. It is necessary to process both adults and children.

I consulted with a friend veterinarian, said that you can try Front Line Spray. I did not notice any side effects. Non-toxic, suitable for everyone. For kittens this is generally a godsend.

Veronika, 19 years old. For me, Front Line Combo for cats seemed a little expensive. But I still bought it. Reviews about the drug are good, and the veterinarian recommended. The cat is allergic, very sensitive to any effects.

Dropped for a start quite a bit to see the reaction, and then - according to the instructions for use. The aroma is unpleasant, but you can tolerate it, especially if the fleas materialize literally in the apartment. Probably from the neighbors.

To get rid of ectoparasites without harm to the cat, you need to be cautious. Reviews do not contain all the information for conclusions, so consult your veterinarian.

Even after his recommendations, Front Line should be used carefully. Start with small doses to look at the reaction and rule out individual intolerance.
